ORLANDO, Fla. (March 18, 2021) – The Florida Green Building Coalition (FGBC), the state’s leading certifier of green residential and commercial construction and local governments, has launched a new custom signage program for builders and homeowners to display in their “Florida Green” certified home.
When a home is certified to the FGBC Homes Standard, the builder and homeowner can show their commitment to sustainability and verify the home was built to green standards. The new recognition signage features the certification level, number and can be further customized with the address.
Each sign is 1/16th inch aluminum metal available in two sizes, 3×6 inches or 5×7. Both are offered in full color with UV printing or engravable in black and white.
They are exceptionally durable with rounded edges and four holes with screws for attaching. Prices start $20 and signs can be ordered online.
With a goal of education, verified third-party green certifications and advocacy since being founded in 2000, FGBC is by far the largest certifier of green homes, residential communities, high-rises, local governments, and commercial buildings in the state with over 25,000.
Two decades ago, FGBC brought together industry professionals from the construction, government, academic and research communities to create green standards tailored specifically to Florida. Beyond third party certifications, FGBC is also a resource for the builders, developers, contractors, architects, and municipalities when considering going green.
“Florida Green” standards take a scientific approach and are developed with state-specific criteria. They address Florida’s hot-humid environment, climate, distinctive topography, unique geology, resiliency, and natural disasters.
