ORLANDO — The Florida Green Building Coalition (FGBC), the leading certifier of green residential and commercial construction, land developments and local governments in the state is offering the Annual Certifying Agent (CA) Verification Course online.
This course is for those that have already earned the FGBC CA Designation.
By passing this course CA’s will earn the seven points needed on the Certifying Agent Active Status Verification form.
That score is also attained based on the number of homes certified per year, attending FGBC and other green building events and attending green building education courses.
There are two chances to pass the end of the course exam. Failure to pass the course within the allotted time frame will require re-registration after 30 days.
Confirm availability prior to registering. Dates may have to adjusted depending on availability. Once registered there are seven days to complete the course.
There is limited availability for the course.
In 2000 the non-profit FGBC brought together industry professionals from the construction, government, academic and research communities to create green standards tailored specifically to Florida.
Over 20,000 projects have been certified.
“Florida Green” standards take a scientific approach and are developed with state-specific criteria. They address Florida’s hot-humid environment, distinctive topography, unique geology, resiliency and natural disasters.
